Super Wiring

Started back together with the Super C instrument panel. I am completely rewiring it. I have also switched everything over to 12 volt. My question is what size fuse to run in the fuse holder. The manual says 20 amp with the 6 volt setup. That should work for the 12 volt system shouldn"t it?

Rick, as long as you are replacing the wire with wire of the same size (12 AWG or larger), a 20A fuse is just right.

I have seen in automotive applications where a wire was over-fused, say a 10A wire (16 AWG) factory fused at 15A, but I personally wouldn't do it - I value my equipment enough to not want the wiring to go up in smoke. YMMV

+1 I used a 20 amp based on advise I got on this forum. No problems.
