Battery question

even over 850 is better yet, 1000 amp would be good as with glow plugs they draw quite a bit. you can also go with 2 6 volt in series as from factory or put 2 12's in parallel.

If you use two batteries go with 2 - 12 volt batteries in parallel. You'll have less problems starting it. Just my 30+ years of experience in the mechanic trade. In a parallel hookup if one battery has a bad connection it will still start. In a series hookup it won't crank.
It's like the old & new Christmas tree lights. One goes out they all go out versus one goes out only one goes out.

CarQuest has a 1200 amp battery that would just fit next to the seat - just slightly longer than a std 12v car battery. Get the longer hold down brackets (at CarQuest) and drill another 1/4 inch hold and it will really close to stock

Will give you more cranking amps than the 2 6v's in series.

Half the connections give you half the problems.

The one big battery will out last the other 2 and be more reliable.
