Super A Plow

I was wondering how much a Super A plow would run?

The draw bar is there but the plow is not and neither are the arms that go to the hydros.

Also can you plow without the hydros? If so how would that work?

I'm not sure what your mean by "and neither are the arms that go to the hydros".

Probably the most common plow for the SA was the #93, single bottom. I have one, and it works quite well. Bought it a few years ago for $75.

Unfortunately, besides not having a way to get a picture uploaded, the plow is currently buried in a couple feet of snow. I may not even see it for another month.

Yes, you will need both hydraulic rams working (IH's famous "Touch Control") the right lever lifts or lowers the front of the plow beam to adjust 'draft' (amount of downward 'pull' from the plow point), and the left lever raises and lowers the back of the plow beam for depth of furrow. Once you have it turning the furrow nicely, there are 'thumb screw stops' for the TC levers, so the settings are repeatable.

The front link for the plow is an adjustable rod that bolts to the U shaped draw bar turned to face the front of the tractor (comes to just forward of the rear tires). The front of the plow beam bolts there too. The back of the plow beam is suspended by a chain and special "J" link that hooks to the right rear lift arm.

I know it probably sounds Greek, but if you could see it set up, it would make perfect sense.

Probably someone else has pictures. If you would like them, just ask.
