I am wanting to replace the bottom pto shaft on my super h. Removed the top cover and removed the back engagement shaft. (bottom pto shaft badly damaged ran a 10inch auger to much) I then removed the belly pan and removed the nut that holds the shaft I can drive it a little then it stops. I am stumped and what to do next. I don't need to removed the top shaft do I? or is there any better way to do this thank you for any help

There is no "lower PTO" shaft in the parts diagram.
The whole PTO comes out the rear with removal of the bolts holding the external shifting housing onto the read final drive casting. No snap ring, nothing but a shaft and shifter tube going forward to the trans countershaft. The shaft you are attempting to remove is (I think)the transmission countershaft. Do not pound on it, there are many components to consider when removing that shaft. Jim
I would not attack it

If you are wanting to remove the transmission counter shaft you have to remove the transmission driving shaft(input shaft) and the main shaft(one with sliding gears) first. Then remove counter shaft nut, bearing retainer, and front bearing.
Next remove counter shaft rear bearing snap ring(you can drive the shaft and bearing back to help gain access to snap ring), remove bearing and lift out counter shaft.

If you are only needing to access the pto shaft take the five 3/8" bolts out and pull it out the back of transmission.
