IH solar gas generator Model 351n-32 serial number 5423215 812 596 0200. I never knew a thing like this existed. I have no interest or need for it just thought some IH collector might want to check it out. adv is asking 2500.00 and says best offer. Any body else even heard of this thing?

Their history his long fascinated me, from naval propulsion, to emergency power units cleverly hidden in skyscrapers.

IH sold the division to CAT to raise money in the early 80's.

Spotted this IHC Solar gas turbine genset on display at the Alexander NY steam show several years ago. My notes say it's model T351N, rated for 280 KW. (Unfortunately I did not get to see it run...)

The propane bottle behind the genset fuels a 40 HP Bogart hit 'n miss engine that shares a trailer with the gas turbine.
