Did a farmall 560 wheatland have the short rear axle housings or the standard ones, (like on a regular farmall 560)

first of all there is no farmall wheatland ...no such thing.
international and farmall is two different tractors.
1- international 560 wheatland
2- farmall 560
international tractors are not adjustable.
farmall tractors have adjustable axles.

Here is couple pictures of a 560 International.

The word "wheatland" is no where to be found on it either.

As others have said the International 560Ws have non adjustable axles with shorter castings and the axle has spacer between the axle casting the cast center of the wheel. The cast center and axle are splined and the center is held on simply with a cap and bolt in the axle end rather than the clamp style cast centers used on the rowcrop.

There is no "W" on the 560 International's. The "W" ended with the W450 in 1958. The "W" means "wheeled" not wheatland. F meant Farmall, T meant Track, U meant power Unit, etc. Does anybody know what red tractor actually got the "wheatland" decal?

While it may not be the official name the International 560s were commonly called 560Ws, 560 Wheatlands or 560 Standards, least around here, because of their similarities in styling and purpose to the actual W series.

I never understood the "W = wheel" thing...

Don't Farmalls have wheels too?
Don't Industrials have wheels too?
Don't Orchards have wheels too?

Next thing you'll try to tell me is the F doesn't stand for Farmall.

I wrote F=farmall, did you skip that part? Ask Guy Fay, he wrote the article about what the "W" stood for. He has the most knowledge about the history of International Harvester.
Here is some info from The M service manual.

I can find the article that Guy Fay wrote if you like? I'm only trying to educate people that don't know. I don't know much, but what I know I have facts for. What does A, B, C, H, M stand for? I would be very interested in that info if any on here knows. The W4, 6, 9 line came out in 1940, the 460 came out in 1958? Thanks to Rusted that answered my ? when "wheatland" came out on a tractor, 18 years later.
