560 hydraulic issues

My 560 tractor acts like the hydraulics are pumping or under
pressure at all times. They are also very slow. I have changed
the filter and same results. When I hook up a cylinder or move
a control it seems like the pressure goes off for a second. Any
advise would greatly appreciated. Soon it will be warm and
time to hay!

Maestro Hi Two things, the remote valves on the 560 can be set for two way by just turning the shaft that comes out the back of the valve body a little left or right. There is a roll pin through the shaft for a stop. this is below the steering wheel in front of the seat. If it is not set right that will cause high pressure and that is what you have. If this is good then could be the fast hitch return linkage, not working ok.

You might see them with the metal on and a good flashlight, moving them not so much.
The other real possibility is the pilot orifice in the demand/regulator valve (and/or its tiny screen) can be plugged up causing it to be on "demand" all the time. The on line parts diagrams show this nasty little valve in the block closest to the center of the tractor. Jim

Down below the steering wheel on the dash....about six inches off the floor. Look and see if there are a couple round knobs about an inch in diameter, with a little of the end flat so you can put an adjustable wrench on them. Turn them a little in one direction or the other and see if that helps.

I had issues with my 560 hydraulics and had to over fill the reservoir a little, and my problems were gone.

"Maestro; dummy me. I think in your posting on TractorTalk I stated you could see those roll pins w/o removing the three-sided cover. I was out in the garage this a.m. and thought I would peek at my 340 w/cover removed...they are there but you best remove the cover and have a look-see. Or, maybe you got your issue solved; hope so. Also, you said that the hydraulic fluid had been changed. Did you happen to leave the fill cover off and operate the hydra-touch controls ~10 times to remove any trapped air? If I recall correctly it seems that Janicholson has suggested pointing the tractor down hill ~ 30 degrees to get things going again; he might chime in.
