IH reversible disc plow

My dad bought a 400LP new with a fast hitch 3 bottom IH disc plow that used hyd. cylinder to reverse the discs. Anyone have any information, model or have photos? I've never seen any discussion on here about that type plow.

Thanks.

I did not know IH made one of those. It probably works the same way as a moldboard rollover plow. In other words, two sets of disks.

I don't have nay pictures, but there was one at either the Pennfield, Il or Lebanaon Tn. RPRU being used in the demo field. The plows did not rollover, but shifted left and right, with the assembly swiveling near the rear. Real unusual setup.

My reply here is a few years late but maybe of use to someone in the future. This plow was manufactured by IHC in Mexico many years ago. IHC made a very large unit with around 10 discs. I only saw one of these so ten is a guess but it was pretty big at the time. Today not that unusual.

My company used to manufacture the plow in 2,3, 4 & 5 furrow configurations The two and three furrow was not hydraulically moved but could be. From then up it used a standard agricultiral cylinder to swing the arm.

I still have drawings for this machine and many pictures. It was a particularly good plow and capable of a very deep cut.
