Coming at the question from the belt end, not the tractor end, I betcha the drive train is designed such that the belt speed is right at 3,100 feet per minute when the engine at rated speed. So, measure the diameter of the belt pulley, brush off the 'rithmetic and cipher it out!

if i remember right its 1200 RPM full throtal , thats the speed of the shaft taken at center point , ill look in my manual later and double check that number , of course O.D. of the pulley will change Ft. per sec. of belt travel, what ya lookin to run on the pulley?

I saw where a guy machined an adapter for a hydraulic pump. He had put a V-8 engine in a 300 and still needed hydraulics. I kept a pic of it and thought I'd do it.

cant find my M book but my H book shows 1019 RPM @ operating speed ( wide open) , H & M's are real close if not the same , adding a hyd pump to the pulley should work fine , had a massy 44-6 that had a home made bracket & pump added to drive on pulley shaft, extra oil tank mounted on frame & 2 valve remotes on it , still wasnt live but worked double aution ,it was an older syle gear pump using 30 oil not hyd. fluid

The H pulley turns faster than the M. That is why the H came with a smaller standard pulley than the M. Per my owners manual, the M pulley turns at 899 RPM at full throttle. I'm not sure if that is loaded or just at high throttle with no load. I don't have a manual for the H. The M came with a standard 11 inch diameter pulley and I think the H standard was a 9 inch pulley.
