Cyclo planter hydraulic pump

PSI X dia of cycl determines how much force ex a 2in cycl wont lift nearly as much as a 3in so what ever you want to lift will take so many 1000s of psi larger cycl will have more push or pull. A 2-way will push more than pull as the dia of the piston rod decreases the pulling power just look up 2-way cycls and those specs will be given.

Don't forget that the bigger the bore, the slower the cylinder. A 4" cylinder won't work as fast as the 2" if the pump can't provide the volume.

I couldn't tell you exactly. Ours is an 8 row and when I wanted to lift the tongue once I pulled a small utility that I use around the house over and tried to lift it with the loader and could not even budge it. The planter is really heavy. There are at least two cylinders that raise and lower it in planting position (working from memory, cause it is put away and there is a lot of snow between here and there) and one larger cylinder that raises and lowers it in transport. Might not be the biggest pump in the world but it picks that planter up pretty quick. Best I can do for you.

You got me curious so here is the specs as printed in the service manual:

Single module pumps 8 gpm at 2000 psi
(540 and 1000 rpm)

Double module pumps 16.5-18.3 gpm at 1800 psi
(1000 rpm)

The relief valve is set to 2250 psi

Don't know if that helps or not but there she is.
