130 vs. 140 ?

I ran across a 130 the other day . I had never seen one before. It made me curious besides sheet metal, what is the difference in a 130 and a 140? Can anyone enlighten me?

The 130 came after the Super A and was followed by the 140. That is all I know, but I think the 130 was produced for a quite short time. The 140 kept being built for many years.

No major differences as far as I know. Just sheet metal to match the styling of the time.

130 was made to match the styling of the 350/450 tractors, and was available in '57 and '58. Maybe late '56 too...

Sheet metal was the big thing. The water pump was changed to the more modern style that bolts to the front of the engine rather than being in the lower elbow. So a lot of the stuff on the front of the engine is different. I don't think the radiators will interchange. Some transmission ratios may have been changed. Lights were different. There were probably some other smallish things. They shared the same parts catalog. If you want to get into the details, you could probably pick most of them up easily by paging through the catalog.

Another modification, also related to the engine's front: the filler neck for engine oil was moved from the valve cover to the governor housing.

each model has a bit more horsepower than the one before it. other changes as well to looks, etc.
A is a good tractor, so are all the rest.
