ID H or M Farmall Hood

I have a nice hood off of a Farmall. It is either an H or an M. How can I tell which it is?? Measurements??? Thanks from a forgetfull ole man.

My 1950 "H" hood measures 33 5/8" from front-to-back.

Width measurement would probably be more helpful.

M and SM=38 3/8"T

My "M" tractor's previous owner had installed an SMTA bolster, and the hood was extended (cobbled) out to 41" up front. The hole penetrations for the 2 stand pipes remained the same. Not sure if this is the same for the factory SMTA's that came off the assembly line.

Look inside, if its a M gas distillate or kerosene hood it will have braces at a angle for the side. H won't have any. M diesel will have the exhaust hole on the right side.
