Farmall 460 hydraulic controls

My 460 I just picked up has odd hydraulic control levers the right hand outer lever runs outlets on left side and left inner lever runs right outlets
I have not looked into it yet being still pretty cold out but wondering if anyone has a theory
As the right lever left outlet seems really slow compared to the other side
Thanks for your input
Dan

According to the parts diagram, the far right lever controls the left valve body under the steering column. This either controls the fast hitch or a rear hydraulic outlet.

The middle lever should control the far right valve body, which is for the outlet on the right side, under the gas tank.

The far left lever controls the middle valve body, which is for the outlet on the left side under the gas tank.

It is possible the previous owner cobbled the system together just to make it work somehow. You would have to pull the sheet metal off and look to see what's going on in there.

How are you comparing speed? If you are comparing a loader arm lift with a loader dump, the lift will be slower because the cylinders are larger.

You have to hook the same implement to each set of ports to make a valid comparison.

I have my back blade on the tractor with hydraulic angle I
switched from one side to the other when on right outlet it
snaps around quick when hooked to left outlet it is real slow
maybe a quarter the speed of right side

Do you have the factory Fast Hitch, or a 3pt?

If you've got a Fast Hitch, and it's controlled by the middle lever, here is what probably happened:

0. There is a flow restrictor for the Fast Hitch valve. Can't remember if it's in the valve itself or in the block at the back of the toolbox.
1. The Tel-A-Depth system failed at some point in the tractor's lifetime.
2. The previous owner re-plumbed the Fast Hitch to the middle valve.
3a. The Tel-A-Depth valve failed in such a way that it can still be used as a normal hydraulic valve, OR...
3b. The previous owner eventually replaced the Tel-A-Depth valve with a normal valve, and never reconnected the Fast Hitch to its proper location.

On a 460, your left and middle levers are supposed to be for the remotes. The right lever is for Fast Hitch, or the optional 3rd remote if the tractor didn't come with Fast Hitch.

I had a chance to look quick but not in under tin work yet but
this is what I found so far
All the teladepth linkage is gone right lever is the one that
should be used for fast hitch but it runs left outlet left lever runs
outlet on right side which is connected to fasthitch
The right lever running left outlet is one that is real slow
hopefully tomorrow I can make some spence of it
Thanks dan
