I recently hooked up a Saginaw 3 pt kit to my H. I plan to run my finish mower and my bush hog with this set up. I plumbed two lines . One from each side of the pump to the lower port on each lift cylinder. This worked for a while lifting my box blade but the three point is now stuck all the way up and my pump control lever will not return to the " impliment drop position". I do not have breather plugs on the upper cylinder ports. Any ideas? Thanks

Since you are using 2-way cylinders as 1-way cylinders, you need breather plugs in the upper cylinder ports so that air can move in and out.

Kirk,
Do u suppose this is what is preventing movement of the
control lever? It worked fine till I lifted the box blade all the
way up. Is pressure preventing return of the control arm to the
load release position?
Thanks for your answer. I'm kind of a novice even though I've
restored my B and my 560d

If there is pressure on it the lever can (because of wear) get stuck (usually in the hold position. Lift the blade and see if there is enough reduction in internal pressure to allow it to push in. (holding up the blade with real cribbing that will not tip, and loosening a hose carefully might allow it to lower. Vent plugs are needed to allow the cylinders to breathe. If there is pressure in the lines, be very careful bleeding it off. Never with the implement free hanging in air. Jim

Thank u. I will lift the blade with a tractor jack and block it up and try your suggestion. I appreciate all the great knowledge on this forum

I have many hours on equipment using the belly pump on Farmalls. When there is near overload pressure the control rod gets way hard to push in. The internal pressure relief valve, even set at 800 or so as normal, will make enough pressure to make lowering difficult. I think it is the nature of the valving. Jim

rear port on left side is a delay use the front post. Your two-way cycls being used one way will need top port vented and not work the best as they are designed for pressure both ways by putting some wt on the hitch and a few cycles they mite loosen up enough to drop the hitch mine was used enough that it dropped well after a few cycles.

I did as u said and that solved the issue. Thanks to all who helped. Now if anybody can come up with a solution to minus 22 degrees tonight up here I'm all ears!
