Starter quit working, so I put an electric heat gun on the stater for a few minutes and it took right off. took it of last knight ( 3 deg out side) took it apart this morning and found water in the solinod, so I think it turned to ice and just wouldn't move, does anyone know the model # of the starter? I know it is a Delco remy and I'm thinking it's going to need replaced soon cause the inners didn't look the best. Thanks

It may be best to redo your starter. If the fields check out OK but the insulation is getting fuzzy, just give it a couple coats of varnish.

Take it to your local starter/alternator shop. They can go through it and make it good as new for less than the cost of a new one.

I think that's we're I'm going to end up. Tonight I'll put it back on and see if it works now that it's dryer out, iz gots to finish moving snow
