I have a friend whose mother is selling a cub. I have never had a Farmall and have searched for reasonable prices, but I see them all over the place.

Can someone tell me what a reasonable price is for a cub in good condition, no rust, good tires, a mower deck, a plow, and chains? I know this is a tough question without more details, but a ball park figure would help me greatly.

Thanks

I'm really not even going to hazard a guess at anything realistic based on your one-line description.

The ones that stay advertised are generally overpriced. If the ad disappears in a few days, it's a pretty safe bet that the buyer and seller came to an agreement on the price. Given that nobody haggles/dickers in this day and age it was probably for asking price.

Start advertising on the high side, then come down until it sells.

If it runs well and has no smoke, it is a 2000 tractor in areas where it can be used for lawns and small garden systems. If it is less "clean" and in a location with many of them, it would be 1500. Remember it is a tractor not a lawn mower. It iss also under powered compared to a compact tractor of today (that costs 20,000). Jim

For what was advertised $1500 TO $2200 would be fair. You shud look it over closely for any problems. Here in VT someone might want $2500 but else where $1500 to $1800 would be reasonable. Look the tires over carefully for cracks or splits. That's a good bargening point.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I know my description was very simple, but what you all are suggesting ($1500) is what I was expecting.

Have a good day!

I bought one last summer from an estate sale, good running everything works(needed a battery)w/1 bottom plow, cultivators, a disk and a drag, barn kept & as original as I've seen,$1900 , stumper (ps. in gr. mi. area)still has dealer decals on it
