Farmall Super A - fertilizer distributor system

Hi Folks,

I"d like to add a fertilizer distributor to our Super A.

Does anyone have one, or leads or recommendations.

There"s a lot of Miscellaneous parts online but I haven"t found much by way of complete units. Nor do I have a diagram or anything showing what parts a complete unit would consist of.

Any info, ideas, and leads much appreciated.

I do not have a unit, but the restoration guys tend to discard the cultivators and distributor units and mountings when restoring. You might get lucky and run into one who has a complete set to get rid of. otherwise I have had to piece mine together for the 200 I have. I already knew the parts I needed since I grew up on one. I also worked with an SA and could put one together if I had to. If you find a single set like the mounting frames and tool bars, take it. Keep adding till you have the entire unit.

If you can round up the drive unit you can buy new distributor complete with fertilizer hopper. I have seen them on eBay an also in Agri Supply catalog.

It's called a "side dresser" attachment.

There was usually a complete setup or two on ebay at any given time, but apparently they're out of season right now.

Easy to find, but not cheap. At one time used units were bringing several hundred dollars.
