Any clue as to why the links that appeared on the left side of the yt pages have gone away? Is it just my puter?

No, it is not you. It changed sometime yesterday, in the morning it was normal and when I checked back in the evening it had changed. If you switch to classic view, all the sidebar links are there. They just do not show up in modern view.
On one hand I like the cleaner look for forum browsing in modern view...
On the other hand I don't like that %$#@ing GOOGLE forced them to do it.
