Farmall A axle seal

Is there a technique for replacing the axle seal (behind where wheel bolts on) without having to remove the housing or even the pan?

i just finished doing that to mine, there is a felt washer as well as a seal there, i unbolted at the axle , took cover off other side and bottom pan because you need to be able to put gear washer and sleeve back on shaft then drive out with a socket that will fit inside of bearing
