our 1086 is a ta delete but still has the mcv with ta controls, what changes were made to allow it to work without the ta,in the near future I want to reinstall the ta,another question is I need to test the mcv pump and the style mcv valve we have has to tap into at the lower right hand plug, manual says to remove orifice behind plug to test,it shows a special removal tool to remove it,can any other tool be used,is it thread in or what

Since you still have a MCV for the TA there was some provision made to block off the holes for three tubes that lube and control the TA. Depending on how those hose were blocked off it may require a different center section housing or some creative machining. I have seen the holes welded shut and have seen them drilled, tapped, and plugs threaded in.

The orifice has a screwdriver slot on the end. You may be able to modify a screwdriver to remove it but they can be installed quite tight. I have an Allen Hex wrench modified to do the job.
