Won this 1086 radio controlled tractor off of ebay, anyone have one of these as a kid, never seen one before?

got one in my collection and also have the mate a jd 4440, played with on once as a kid but didnt get one of my own until i was a grown child

Don"t have the 1086 but I have the 2+2 version from when I was a young"n. Farmed many an acre with that rig. Could have farmed more if it would have turned both ways!

There's one of those sitting on the chest of drawers in my old room at my parents' house.

We had a lot of fun with it, but it wasn't very rugged. The steering wheel on the remote was the main weak point. You have to be VERY gentle or it will break off. Gentle is not in the vocabulary when you're 5 and 3 years old.

IIRC mine needs a wire soldered back on in the battery box.

Not to be pizzy, but unless they gave it to you...you did not "win" it. You bought it. Paid for it after being the person willing to give the most for it. Resist the temptation of following the auctioneer sales pitch and believing that you are in a competition to "win" something. The only people who "win" at an auction are the auctioneer, sometimes the seller and (usually) the last guy to get outbid. Cute toy, though. Wouldn't mind having one around her myself.

LOL, no they didn't give it to me, and I won't know until it arrives if I "won" or not, may be just a pile of plastic, but I think its a neat pile of plastic. I have never seen one before, so for the price of a case of beer I own it.
