ive had a few farmall b,h,m tractors, a allis chalmers and a few others but i finally got me a real tractor... i bought a 986 international.... i am in love.. before this my biggest tractor was a 784..

oh yea..got the factory cab on it.. gotta get the a/c fixed.. had to take the starter out today and send it to be rebuilt. it has a few leaks but so far i am in love... yea allan it has pretty good rear rubber and good front. has the long axle shaft and the tires are set in so i gotta pull them out to meet the fronts.

wheres the hydraulic filter at on this thing? any how much hytran does it take.. havent got a manual yet..

My book says filter is in the right side of the rear frame. Should be 2 cover screws holding cover filter frame. Clean the by-pass valve screen, inspect cover o-ring and replace the filter cartridge. To go back together, slide in cartridge, then by-pass valve, then O-ring, then filter frame cover. Holds approx. 90 qts. Use Hy Trans or fluid that meets IH B-6 Specification.
