Dad's Super M &2ME sold at Auction Whiteside Co. Il . Mt.Pleasant twnshp January 1972 , Roundgrove Any one recollect that auction, or who the Super M went to? Chuck Reynolds-brother to John Jr. Ken, and David Neighbors were H,Londo and Wayne Farrell Thanks in advance

No disrespect sir, but I doubt you'll find anybody that knows anything about an auction from 40 years ago. If you do then that would be terrific, but your Super M may not have been the only one sold that day.

I suspect you are looking to find said machine and possibly purchase. With that said, we need something else to go by. You are not that far from me so it could of ended up out here by Frederick MD for all we know.

If you can tell us what the SN is that would be 10x more helpful being I'm sure the tractor looks 100% different now vs what it did look like. Places to look for the SN of the tractor. If you have any old service records that were kept look and see if the dealer listed the SN on there. It possibly might be on some tax paperwork before or after the auction. It would definitely be on the original bill of sale. Best of luck, your just gonna have to dig alittle I think.

Probably either in a tractor salvage or melted down and part of it is in my Hyundai Santa Fe.

his isn't necessary. While that may indeed be the case, you never know. Anyways, OP if you can find us the SN of the machine then post it up. Most likely that is the only way we are going to be able to help you with this one.

Chuck-

Good luck with your search. If you had asked a couple years earlier, I could have asked my Grandpa, and he would have known, or at least given a possible lead. H Londo is ------------ Londo, but I think he has passed too.

H and his wife Geutrude still live at Restave Nursing home in Morrison on South Jackson.I just visited with them in June. Wayne lives there also! Ill ask my brother if any of dads papers are still around. I really doubt that Verdick Implement saved any of the tractor business paper work that he ran in Morrison either. Thanks again
Why cant I spell H"s name ,it kicks my post out when I spell his name out. Thats odd

That's good to hear about H and his wife! He and my grandpa were good friends. Infact, my grandpa helped him drive truck for a bit in the off seasons. My grandpa was at Resthave too there at the end.

Good luck with Verdicks documents. I tried going down that path. Heard P-town IH dealer got all Verdicks stuff, and when I called P-town, they told me they didnt keep any of those types of records that far back.

No disrespect meant, but most people do not keep track of what happens to old machinery and they do end up in salvage yards with many parts missing, or they do get re-cycled. Super Ms were a popular animal and, sad to say, this is what happens to many of them.
