farmall h live hydrolics

my dad has a farmall h with a 30 loader.how could I add a live hydrolic pump.could I use a 300 pump .or would I have to change the timing grears,i belly pump still works but would like live hydro.tractor is far from mint.

You could use a 300 pump but I believe you would have to switch out the front cover too in order to get the bolt pattern. Another option would be like an M&W pump that I believe would bolt right in.

You can bolt the pump right up if it is a mid 1950 or later. I tore mine apart and found out the part numbers are the same.

Otherwise you have to change the front of the engine out. It is not a bad job and is really handy when done.
