I'm working on a recently acquired one point fast hitch disk plow that fits a 140. Plow has two disks. Anybody know anything about the bearings in the tail wheel?? I've got them out, and probably could match them at NAPA, but I wonder about the seal on the back side. It's toast!! I think I read a post a while back that the bearings in the tail wheel are the same as a front wheel bearing set on a CUB. Parts look the same in the Cub parts catalog as what I took out of the plow tail wheel. I've not tried to check the numbers yet. If I order a bearing set and seal for a Cub will it fit the plow tail wheel?? I've tried to look up the plow on the IH website, but I've not been able to locate a parts diagram. I've also got a problem with the rubber tire depth control wheel. Fork on the adjusting screw is broken and the wheel is toast. I think I'm going to end up with a new wheel and spindle. I think I can rig that up from trailer wheel parts, as the wheel has a 480-8 tire on it and that is easy to find. However the IH hub is toast, but the spindle could be reused, but the bearings on the IH spindle are different size on inside and outside and all the trailer wheels I find use the same bearing on both sides. Any ideas there would be appreciated, but the main concern is the tail wheel bearings. THanks!!!
