My wife and I are traveling on the Peach side of Colorado in the next few days. If you might be home would a short visit be possible. If so drop me a note with some directions. We are in Lusk Wyoming this evening. My Email should Be open. Jim

I got your response and will make the call when within a couple of hours away. Thanks, Jim and Prescott.

Jim, not meaning to horn in on this thread, but if you came across SD and into WY on I-90 and down to Lusk, you drove right through middle of the ranch I worked on back in '64. West fence line of the ranch was the SD/WY border.
Have a safe trip!

(quoted from post at 09:49:35 12/30/13) Deer hunted in Boundary Gulch many times in the 50-70 time frame.

Wonder if Beulah even exists today? Used to stop for a cool one once in a while . I was stationed at the AF radar site N of Sundance, Nov.'63 to Jan. '65. Mostly worked nights at the site and days at the ranch. That was my time running a 450G and 350D (to tie this into the IH forum).

Yes! Beulah does still exist went throught that part of the country 2 years ago, used to hunt deer in that area ages ago. Also had a nice visit with Delta Red.

Yes Port of entry. Stopped there this morning at the driveway to clean road dirt off the window. Jim

I thought I remembered pulling in there with an empty combine trailer, headed for Idaho. Went on through Jackson, over the Teton pass and into Driggs Idaho. I love that country, Have a safe trip. Jim

(quoted from post at 20:20:21 12/30/13) Small world. I was going to high school in Sundance then. Yes, Beulah is still there. Store has been remodeled.
Wasn't there a HS teacher or coach with a prosthetic leg at that time? I played on the radar site basketball team and we played against a guy like that.
Used to hunt with the Pedersons (sp?) that ran a gas station, I think Phillips 66. After the silo was filled on the ranch, I got a PT job at the Pastime bar... nice older couple, but do not remember their names.

Jim I always wanted to make a snow ski trip over to Grand Targhee near Driggs but never made it back in my skiing days when I was in Seattle. I also heard there wasn't a decent place to stay in Driggs at that time but the skiing was just about the very best, Hal.

The farm we harvested on in Idaho had a field supervisor from Driggs who trained Olympic skiers in his younger days. He was one of those guys who was built solid as a rock and he looked like he wanted to go fast and dangerous even when he was standing still. He had to quit skiing because of his knees. Jim
