A few pages back someone was asking if new tracks were available for a T20. I thought I'd post what I did with my undercarriage to take up some of the slack in worn tracks. I never really looked seriously, but I was always told no one is manufacturing 6" gauge tracks. The tracks on my 37 T20 are OK and will last forever what little bit I'll be running it when it’s done, but they were wore to the point that I couldn't get the sag out of them without bottoming out the front idler fork. To fix this without a major investment, I moved the front idlers ahead 1.75 inch and used the front most rock guard bolt-hole for the front idler pivot bracket bolt. I then extended the frame rails and rock guards all 1.75" to maintain the original look. I welded all the old holes shut and made everything look pretty. I don't have it back together yet but according to my measurements it should be more than enough to take the slop out of my tracks. I know this may not be proper track maintenance, but proper track maintenance means big $$$, and putting new track on an worn sprocket will ruin the sprockets in no time from what I'm told.
