560 glow plug

my glow plug meter only goes to the first dot with the button pushed what would that indicate how far up should the meter go I checked glow plugs with a ohm meter I do think I have one bad on no5 cylinder other 5 checked ok thanks

With a helper pushing the button make sure your getting power to the glow plugs. Even with one not working the needle should still peg. I suspect some bad wiring or button...

The less plugs working the less the meter goes up. Time for some work with a good meter.

Call IH Navistar truck and/or CNH and ask for price on 304131R3 glow plug, also NAPA for Champion AG-40, they made them for IH.

$32.34 each on messicks. Have been told to get plugs for 7.3 and run die on them. They are cheaper and get hot faster.
