M W sleeves for a 281 engine ?

Was there a oversize sleeve and piston set for the 281 engines or was 4 1/8 the biggest ? Did M & W make a 4 1/4 kit ?

Yes used 4.25 ID sleeves. Block was bored to use the sleeves.

Ok I thought they made that available but wasn t sure how they could do it without the boring and obviously they didn t. Is this kit available from anywhere now or would it be just custom made ?

Think most now just run a 4.25 to 4.380 piston with the block bore sized for the correct clearance with no sleeve.
Place called Vollbrachts INC was selling pistons with a top something like the M&W was. Heard from some that said they were long getting a order. Can't say if its so, but I know some places when ordering a special type piston will wait until they have several orders before ordering from the manufacture.
