need help with wiring my fuel gauge ,need a drawling that is easy to understand to wire my fuel gauge to my sending unite on main tank to sending unite on aux.tank and back ??? all the wiring has been removed from tanks by a previous owner not sure why. and how do you check your sending unites.even if you can tell me how to wire from point a to b with out drawling will help thanks for your time

The ground on the main tank sender connects to the chassis (grounding to the tractor).

The gauge terminal on the ssame main tank sender then connects to the ground terminal on the aux tank sender.

Finally, the gauge terminal of the aux tank sender goes to the fuel gauge.

I can't help with your specifics but Allen probably has them covered as I'm not familiar with the tractors after the 1950's. But do want to caution you that if your dash gauge unit is anything like the one on my 1958 Farmall 240 it will have two electrical connections and one of which IS NOT to be hooked up to voltage or your unit will QUICKLY BE TOAST. If your gauge is like anything on the 240 the reading displayed on the gauge is a function of the resistance reading provided by the tank unit which has to be calibrated to the gauge for an accurate tank level reading. Good luck and sorry I can't help with which gauge terminal is for the tank input and which is for voltage for your tractor, Hal.

thanks allan i will try this out so what you are saying i only have one wire from aux, that goes back up to my gauge
