What is this for?

Today I was getting a mechanical adjustable seat off of a 706 parts tractor. The owner pointed out these "brackets" and asked me what I knew they were for. There is a bracket on each side of the tractor just below where the rocker arm goes into the tractor. I don't know what they are for, but I am sure someone out here can. What can you tell me what these are for? Thank you!!

They're for locking the hitch assembly in a rigid position. We use those brackets when hitching things to the rear of a 806 with a fast hitch when the lifting ability of the hitch is not needed.

You use these to make your fast hitch a solid hitch. You just put your leveling shafts thru these instead of your lift arms and it makes your hitch solid. Larry

Not to be to nosey but are there any other parts on that tractor for sale? I'm needing a set of lift arms and the bottom bracket for my 706. If so where are you located at. Thanks.
