Farmall 300 thermostat

The thermostat is missing, and i want to put one back in it. What temp should it be? Why would someone have taken it out? No wonder it has to have the snot pulled out of it to warm up! Thanks.

Be sure to get the original style 'stat; standard auto 'stats do not work as well. A bit more $$ but worth it.

Warmer the better, I like 180 or higher.

I think a lot of them were either missing or taken out. My H didn't have one, eeven now, with a thermostat, it takes something covering the radiatttttor to really heat it up.
