Just wondering if anyone has access to the production records for the Farmall Super C series as I"d like to know how close mine might be to the end of production. Mine is #188964.

1,176 from the first 1954 super c and 9,346 from the last super c made

187788 seems to be the last recorded serial # for a SuperC. That does not square too well with the number you have supplied. This site and Tractor Data both show this #. Guy Fey (is an author with substantial research behind his data. His books, might indicate otherwise. He posts on here at times. Jim

187788 was the first Super C built in 1954. The last was 198310, built on 10-25-1954. 188964 was built in January 1954. It was last year but nowhere close to the last unit.

Sure wish I knew what the number was on Dad's SC because he bought it "new" in March or early April 1956. Small NE Iowa dealer had a carry-over SC and a 200 and Dad had his choice. They were both equipped the same and as I recall the dealer knocked off $200 or 300 off the SC. I was with Dad when he bought it and some Fast Hitch and other equipment. If not one of the last built, it must have been one of the last sold new.

I was told by an employee of our then local IHC dealership after the 200's were introduced they bought an entire rail car load of 1954 Super C's the factory was clearing out at a reduced price to eliminate the inventory. Finding a late Super C in this part of central Missouri is probably not difficult and bet this practice was exercised by numerous IH dealerships around the country. A model 200 is somewhat a rare tractor in these parts as are 230's and 240's which followed the Super C's while the C's and SC's are quite common, Hal.
