farmall 100, the two bolts that anchor the front lift in the square tube, hope this makes since, why are they so tight? I have two 100s and the anchor bolts for the front right and left lifts on both tractors are the same way.Could this be just rust, two different metals? I have used heat and lubes and still twisted head off one bolt. Any advice appreciated.

I'd expect any bolt associated with the front end, except those loosed once in a while like lugs, to be tight-exposed to lots of moisture, which is a prime condition for rust.

Having severl As over the yrs i found out the ends were flattened thus making them hard to remove. I first got the threads oiled so they would move easy before i tried to remove them

You should not have to back those bolts out all the way to change implements, just far enough to slide the square shaft out of the tube.. In fact, I believe they are not meant to back out all the way to prevent losing them. When you install the implement these bolts do not need to be very tight; nothing would slide out that far without you seeing it first. Mark
