I was just wondering if a 560IH Diesel was a high production tractor? I guess maybe the H, and M s were alot more popular. Is there any crazy information out there? Or what was the most popular tractor IH ever made? Thanks

One source says nearly 66,000 560s built of all variants. I would say that qualifies as a high production tractor. Don't know what the breakdown of Gas, Diesel, & LP models were.

66 thousand and some change for 560 production. I don't recall the exact number i looked up before but I have a diesel #65560 and I recall it being about 600 from the end

less than 7000 tractors built. not a high production model.
most popular was the 10-20 mccormick with over 215,000 units biult.

Actually 66032 were produced. I thought it would be less than the 656 but it looks like it only had about 40,000 built.

The H had 391,227 units built and the Super H another 28,784. The M The M had 270,000 units and the Super M and Super MD added another 62291 units. Low production would be the Super MD - only 5199 of those were produced.

Tractor data lists the Ford 8N as the most produced tractor and the Farmall H as #2, both somewhere around a half a million units made. I can't remember if the Ford figures counted the 9N, 2N and 8N. I also remember looking at the John Deere numbers but the John Deere tractors changed a lot over the course of A and B production the later ones being a lot better/bigger/more powerful tractor than the originals
