f12 carburetor kerosene

(quoted from post at 14:56:19 11/19/13) Can a f12 kerosene carburetor be use for gasoline and preform well.

Absolutely it can. It actually has to by design. There does not exist a SPARK ignition Kerosene engine that can cold start on Kerosene. Every single one of them has to be started on gasoline until the temperatures are hot enough to vaporize the Kerosene. So your Kerosene F12 would have been started and run on gasoline from the starter tank until it reached operating temp and then switched to its primary kerosene fuel. Normal setting of the jets at operating temp and you are in business.

and also to add, that the kerosene is used once tractor is in field up to operating temp and working. just puttsing around the yard it will not burn it all and it will go into oil pan. thats why the oil pan had to be drained daily on these tractors. and also thats why the engines got so worn out, as the wk 40 tractors with that weak truck engine.engine has to be hot to burn this stuff. its just not a practical thing.
and yes same carbs are used. as in the john deere D there was a water valve also that you could add water to the combustion, and same with the 22-36 mccormick.
