Chains for W-4?

Thinking about buying a set of highway style chains for my W-4. But it looks like there may not be enough clearance with the fender supports for them to fit. I have 14.9 X 26 tires - should they fit? Or did the last owner upsize from 13.6 tires?

Thanks,
Tim

Does not really look like enough for the side chains to clear unless they were really racheted down tight to the tire - in which case they wouldn"t be much help for traction.

Tight chains will work at tractor speeds. Also there may be a small amount of adjustability to get the rim out a few inches, Don't give up. Jim

What could I adjust? I was thinking about this today while in my deer stand (nothing else going on). Are the rims dished at all? Is taking the tires off and flipping them inside-out an option?

Without chains this tractor won"t be of much use to me. I bought it specifically to work in the woods, and I pretty much only do that in the winter.

Thanks,
Tim

This is chains our my Gf's SW6. I know its not a W4, he used to have one of those. But here is picture of chains on it. Typically plow snow in 3rd, if don't keep them tight they do hit the fender supports. Chains sure make a world of difference when tractor is on any type of ice, snow, etc. We never take them off, as it typically tractor only comes out in the winter.

You will likely have clearance issues, local W-4 had the platform / fenders narrowed in slightly many, many years ago to clear chains.
