Common Female Wire End

I have a picture of a commonly used female wire end that they used in many of the older tractors. It goes onto a spade lug terminal. It fits into a plastic housing. There is a lot of them under the dash of 1066 and I am certain there many otherplaces they are used. I am wondering what it is called and where I can buy a box of them. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It"s gm 56 series. Basically nla thru gm. Many vendors online will have them. Some local parts stores will be able to get them too.

Female 1/4" spade connector If it came out of a plastic plug (those did) it will need to have the locking tab built in, Many suppliers on line. Jim

.25" solderless connectors. Generically known as fasttab connectors. As Janicholson said those look like they came out of a connector block. You should be able to get bags of them (without the retainer prong) at any hardware or auto parts store. You"ll want a crimping tool for installing them. If you want to put them back into the housing you"ll need the kind with the retainer. Jameco and Digikey have lots of fasttabs but it may be hard to get an exact match for the retainer. If you still have the block try to figure out who made it.

That is a Delco 56 terminal . i have then in my road box and have replaces a ton of them over the years .I get them Terminal Supply by the box.

Ah he will not like the price of the crimping tool for the 56 delco . But they do work well. i carry both male and females and the plugs . Now i am going to let a little secret out here , if ya want the plastic conector plugs you can find them in bone yards that have of GM cars and older I H trucks . Only steal , i mean take the black ones as the clear ones will fall apart in less then a year on a tractor.

Yea you ca get something close but they are NOT as good and since i am fussy i get the same thing that it came with . Only cost a buck more to go first class.

With care he can get by with an el cheapo crimper.

If they are exposed to sunlight, yes.

well let me just say this on ELCHEEPO crimpers Ah no you really can't as you will never get the correct crimp . How do i know tis , well i have been there and done that and that is why i spent the big bucks . just like the other crimper i have ELCHEEPO's don't get it . Since i am still a youngster with over fifty years at doing this i am still learning . And electrical systems i am pretty good at as i have built whole systems from scratch and you would be hard pressed to tell mine from factory . AND FYI the clear ones will fall apart up under the dash . And if ya need new ones then TERMINAL SUPPLY has them IN BLACK

I looked up that number in Messick's and it was over $3. I just ordered some from other site given and they are still plenty but about .25 each. I use a lot of them and just ran out the other day.
