Super C 3 point

A friend of mine has a bunch of old implements and Farmall parts tractors at his house. I was out there yesterday looking thru one of the piles. There was a fast hitch draw bar with a 3 point hook up on it. I have been looking for one of these for my Super C. The problem was it has the big prongs and mine has the small ones. I am not for sure, but I think it came off a 300? Anyway there have been postings on here how to go from little to big prongs, but can you go the other way without a lot of expense? Was just wondering. Thanks.

Going from a large prong to a small prong is free but permanent. My dad "ruined" a nice IH 7' 2 point blade. He ground the points down to fit the Super C we had. It took him quite a bit with a large 9" grinder, but it worked in the end very well for snow removal.

I've cut a set down. Clamp a piece of angle iron to the side for a guide and torch it off, finish off with a grinder. Don't remember for sure maybe a half inch comes off.

My disc was large point, torch and grinder later, it is not.(If you ever wanted to go back to the large point, you just shim it with a piece of flat steel)

Yep, most was off the bottom. Some on the sides had to be dressed too though to get it to fit loose enough so you could get it on and off easily.

You will just have to grind and test fit until you get it where you need it.

I bought a blade that came with one large and one small point. I was using it on a 200 so I cut the big one down with a metal cutting disc on my grinder. It took a few disc but it cut it ok.

Do you know any machinists or toolmakers with a mill at home that could take the 1/2" off in an orderly fashion?

You're really not "ruining" them if you do a nice job of it. You can always add 1/2" spacers to use them in large point fast hitches later.
