Just had IH 444 68 model overhauled

Was told to run 30 nd oil for 2 yrs then chge to hd oil. Don"t see much about 68 444 IH on web. Any comment on the oil schedule.

You don't say Gas or Diesel! I have a 69 Gas 444 I run 30wt in it. I am in Texas, so depending where you are at and the temperature you see you may need a different oil.

Oh, good Lord!

Run a good quality oil such as 15-40 Rotella in it, and sleep well.

I agree. Run the oil you intend to run. change it after about 20 hours of real work with a new filter to remove the new engine wear in trash and go about its use. 15-40 is a best practices choice except in the 50 degree latitude (or farther north) areas in the winter. Jim

Thanks for all the info. It is a gas tractor and I
live in GA. It has an original front end loader on
it. I love this tractor and am planning on keeping
it.

I really like my 444 also, it's a gas powered unit, no front end loader

It is a powerful little beast for it's size, mine runs all of my haying equipment and I love the small turning radius. it out turns my Ford 3000.
