Brake locks up B 450

Last spring I replaced the brake discs from my B450, first i worked fine but now the right brake locks up when you only touch the brake pedal. It does that both in forward and reverse driving.
What must i do to repair this.

The type of brake has what is called self servo action. The mechanical forces "help" apply clamping pressure on the discs. This help can be excessive if the balls and ramps have irregular surfaces, or rust pits or chips in them, it can also happen with rusty or too grabby metal surfaces on the expander. A third issue is weak expander closing springs. Excessive operating clearance is also possible, I recommend no more than .050" when all parts are stacked together in the housing and measured from the mating surface to the first friction surface. If it is possible to do so drive the tractor in 2nd gear and press the brake pedals, pressing more and more firmly and heat the brakes up, sometimes this will cure it, or if the brake locks that bad that you can't do this you will have to dismantle, clean, remove any burrs from the sliding surfaces between the expander and brake housing, check the balls, ramps and springs are in good order, deglaze the linings lubricate and reassemble.
Best to use this type of brake hard and not lightly and often. Same problems occured with Leyland/Nuffield, Belarus and Massey '65s which had the same sort of brake.
