What holds magneto to drive mount?Top and bottom elongated slots have no bolts in them,Timing is close but cannot fine tune.Thank you GP

Not really sure of your question..To time:remove the little tin cover at drive end of mag. There should be two steel 'disks' with holes. Those holes are offset.Switching holes will change timing.

First of all you dont "fine tune" the mag. They fire when the piston is TDC then when engine runs goes to like 33deg. The gears that drive the rotor must be in time so when the mag fires the rotor is lined up on the tower. What are you trying to do.

The magneto on an H is timed by rotating the magneto at the point it mounts to the block (hence the slots). The disks/bolt method applies to earlier base-mount magnetos.
