More W4 Questions

Got the oil changed. Good news is that it was all oil - no green of white in it.

Still waiting for the manual to arrive, so a few more questions:

1)How do I drain the radiator? I didn't see a petcock. The antifreeze checked OK, minus 10. But it was pretty dirty looking. I hope I don't have to pull the lower radiator hose? Is there a drain on the block anywhere? What is the capacity to refill?

2)How do I measure the differential oil? I only saw a large plug under the steering wheel, but that seemed to be in an awkward spot. I assume there is a plug under the belly to drain it? Is there a drain for the belt pulley? How much to refill, of what, and where?

3) Is there any kind of fluid that needs to be checked for the steering?

Thank you to those of you who have already helped!

Tim

I think you will find a drain (hopefully operational near the lower rad hose (IIRC)From under the front, not easy to find.
THeblock drain is near the carburetor. Some had valves attached, some were just 1/2" pipe plugs.
Trans/Diff oil is all one volume with more than one plug. There are separate plugs for different sump/collection areas. One fill port, you found it.
Level plug is on the left side near the clutch rod.the belt pulley is lubed internally from trans splash into channels. It will be fine.
Differential oil is GL4 85-120 is a good choice.
I cannot remember the amount, (more than 5 gallons)
The steering gear box needs to have trand oil in it unless it leaks, in which case it needs corn head grease or Red synthetic Mobil1 chassis grease. Jim
