Disk Brake part

Would anyone know if this brake actuator would work on a Farmall 300? The person who has it for sale did not have any application info.

I doubt it. Ask for the part number. The part number for that brake actuator for a Farmall 300 is 364834R91.

I checked other sources and a new brake actuator for a Farmall 300 is priced at $247, NO WAY the $75 on ebay will fit.

Yes take a look and see if you do have any. I have had the parts machined and I still have a left brake that does not stop well. It will not stop the wheel. I have cleaned, lubed, and etc. So the next thing is new balls and springs, and possibly a different actuator. The actuator listed there is very close looking to one for a 300. I emailed him and he had no listing for the application which makes you very scared of it!! I did order a tach like this at a very low price and it works great.

During 1956 IH made a change in the actuators to give them more mechanical leverage. Before switch the part # started with 356. Number posted was used in later 300 and 350 tractors. When replacing old with new both sides were recomended replaced to keep both sides equal when braking. They may be mixed if no other problem is found.
Interesting that one place lists both with the old type higher.

Here is the one I have. It is a bit rusty but it moves freely. I will sell it for $20 including postage in a flat rate envelope. If you are interested send me an email with your mailing address and I will mail it out.

Yes I would take it and try it. Something has to help the braking!! My address is 7612 Yancy Drive, 68507, Lincoln Ne.

You want me to send you a check when I get it or what?
