IH 2 Bottom Plow

Hello forum members. I'm new around here and this is my first post.

I acquired a quick hitch two bottom plow. I'd like to rebuild it this winter. I'm not sure about getting the correct mold boards, share, slides, etc... and need some guidance.

The plows have part #'s 520722R1 & 520723R1 stamped on them.

What plow do I have and where can I obtain rebuild parts?

Is it for a SC through 230, that is does it have the smaller 2 point prongs? Does it have a single large impact spring on the top? How many plows? Are the plow shares 14, 16, or 18-inch?

Never heard of that restriction on photos but I could be wrong. Start by clicking Add a Reply then try clicking the link at the bottom of the reply which reads "Advanced Posting Options" and follow the steps to upload a photo loaded on your computer.

LMack, it's a single quick hitch. No spring. I'm not sure if its 14 or 16"

I followed the steps you stated on posting a pic. I'll try again.

Lots of luck getting new moldboards what is wrong with the ones on the plow now they can be shined up as getting new ones can be a mess getting them to scour. Dont try and plow deep to scour them. Are the points two piece or just one.

You have a one point 2-14 plow with "Plow Chief" shares for a 100 through 140 (if I see the photo clearly). The points can be found but they are scarce. If you wish to replace the plows you will be forced to use a more modern version called "Super Chief" and they are pricy. Your plows are two piece with a solid wing and point and no shim. The "Super Chief" version will have a three piece set up and will include a one piece plow point as well as a shim. They will bolt right onto your frame replacing your existing plows and wear parts are readily available.

All bets are off then. If you have a three piece share it is a "Super Chief". If a two piece share it would be a "Plow Chief". Do you have one hitch point or two? What kind of tractor will it fit?
