ID question for a super m block

I am trying to find a supper m block to build up for my puller. What do I look for to tell me what it is on the block?

I was thinking that everybody that is building a puller wants the C-281 engine. A SM block will have a C-264 cast into the block above the oil filter.

I was just going to the next level. But what is the c-281 block out of?

Original tractor blocks have this casting number.
SM, SMTA, super 6 series and the 400 blocks that didn't come with a dipstick ended in R1. C264 with dipsticks and C281 blocks ended with R2 like the picture.
Industrial and replacement blocks can have another casting number.
