A day at the office (pics)

Had the old MD and the #37 disc out today worked up about 15 acres for new pasture/hay ground. Even with all the rain we have had in the past 2 weeks the ground was really hard. But the MD handled it well. Jim

Looks good, but I might consider a chisel plow with another pass with the harrow to get it prepped and get rid of the hardpan caused by years of grazing. Cows do tend to hard pack the first 6 to 10 inches. I assume you plan to use Fescue.

No fescue, the field is for hay/pasture for our brood mares fescue causes the plasenta to become very tough and hard for the foals to break at birth. I am putting in 15 lbs to the acre of timothy and the same amount of orchard grass. Due to marylands nutrient laws I have to cover crop it with wheat as well.

Wow nice MD! i just bought me one about a month ago! mine had a behlan power steering, and a M&W 9 speed transmission! gotta love the old Diesel's!
