Outer right rear axle bearing went out last Friday while plowing locally. I have all apart, but am thinking I can take the rear hub off without tearing whole axle out.

Am I thinking correctly? I have loose, but doesn't want to seem to pry off the axle.

Any help or advice is appreciated

the hub should slide right off, then remove the bearing cap

..if you need to completely remove the axle, remove the PTO first then remove the inner axle bolt ..you can then remove the complete axle housing

I have the hub off, the actual axle housing - the one that has 7 bolts I believe that mounts to the tractor or tranny itself. it cannot be removed until you remove the bolts inside the tranny?

yes, correct - I am needing to remove the old race of the outer axle bearing. I am thinking if I can slide it off the axle I can then easily remove old race.

will housing slide off without getting into the bull gear?

easy way to remove a bearing race from a bore is to arc weld a bead around the middle ..when it cools you can usually remove the race with fingers
