300 Utlilty fuel gauge???

I have heard of a fuel gauge of some type for the 300U. Do they exist and are they aftermarket? OEM?

where shall I look for one?

There are fuel gauges available on ebay. The difficulty is finding a matching sending unit. Does the 300 fuel tank have a sending unit now?

No, I don't believe so. Parts book shows a gauge similar to what the newer IH Cub Cadets used.

They are part of the gas cap.

I have one on one machine. It is a simple cork float on a twisted shaft,like on a lot of garden tractors. They work fine 'till the cork breaks up, or you drop it and then step on it and bend it, or forget and drive over it or.....
I use a peice of quarter round molding with a one gallon notch and a five gallon notch. Tank has a "step-down" right where the stick want to sit, so practice a bit.
