I am chasing down leaks in the 140 after season, and after topping off the PTO reservoir, I immediately noticed a constant drip from the bottom of the PTO. It looks like it is flowing out the shaft thru a bearing or seal. My manuals dont really show whats to be done. Any thoughts?

You over filled. That area gets its lube from the tranny slashed back thru a channel and your drain mite be plugged. If you dont use the belt pulley dont worry about it. The seal on he PTO shaftshould not leak. Did you check the lube level at the tranny behind the left brake rod.

There's a seal on the PTO shaft. It's part #34 on the parts diagram.

71719C1, crosses to "NOS13865" at NAPA. Roughly $15, and 15 minutes to replace.

this is great information. My manual does not show the oil
seal as separate pieces, and its number is 28. Is there a seal
inside this? How do I remove the oil seal?
Thanks again for your insights.
